Hi, I need some input on my file. My wife just completed her medical this weekend( Feb 3,2014)in HAVANA. This is the last piece of the process. My question is" How long did it take the VO to contact the applicant?". Some people are telling me that she would get the call within few days and some are saying that it would take 30-90 days to get contacted. I am going nuts here. Please, any input is much appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

I actually have a question about your medical application. Did you receive it right during your appointment or did you have to wait? If you waited how long did it take?

Hello can I ask for some help also. I'm from the Philippines 22 years old and I just want to ask if having a medical history of a missed abortion will cause an issue in my application. We're done with our medical exam but they are asking for my medical record. Hope you can answer me cause I'm so anxious right now because I'm thinking that I might not passed my medical exam and will not be able to get a visa...Thank you!!

Abortion won't cause an issue, unless it was caused by a disease. they just want to be sure you have no history of long term illness or medical problems. And won't put a burden on health care system in Canada.

Are you sure it would be OK? I'm 22 and under family class application...
Main reason for medicals is to catch diseases that are not found in Canada. Also why they are requesting history is to make sure there is no underlying cause of the abortion, like previous disease.
If you are healthy, no reason to worry.

What is the point of asking this question a second time? You asked it in a different post on the 7th, received two answers telling you that your miscarriage would not cause a problem for your application and despite that you are now asking it again (and, incidentally getting a wholly incorrect answer from Step: 'a history of a long term illness or medical problems' and 'putting a burden on the healthcare system' are as a result of legislation not a reason for rejection in your case). Have you not read the reference to the regulations I gave you?

As wowsers pointed out, you should be fine.
Send in the medical history.

Is colour blindness also checked while doing medical? What if a colour blind person appears for medical, can this be a ground for fail medical?

Definately not for spousal sponsorship... i dont even think you can fail on medical grounds. For other visas i cant see colour blindness being an issue... only time ive heard of it being an issue is applying for the air force
