Hi, I was wondering what is involved in the medical exam you have to get done? Im mid 30’s and also have three children under 3 so curious as to what will be required of me and in particular the children? Blood tests? What else? Are the medical exams a lengthy process?
Thanks : )

Physical exam, urine sample, blood work, x rays.

It will be outside of Canada.
Is there a difference to the exam based on where you get it done?
No. We had ours done inside Canada, and I was just going to say try to find a clinic from a panel approved physician that can do everything under one roof. Just easier and more convenient.

I sure hope so!

With regard to the panel approved physicians... do you sow[/QUOTE

....do you sometimes have to get different parts of the test done at different places and appoinnnts if not done with a panel approved person?

Hi there, you HAVE TO do it with a Panel Physician. You cannot go to another doctor. Choose one near your area from the list provided on CIC website.

Either in or out of Canada the exam is the same. And all these doctors are already organised so you do everything in one shot, they usually are associated to a lab or local clinic and they send you there with the papers. It gets done in a couple of hours.

In regard to the kid's exam I really don't know, but check on CIC website to see if there are any specifications. Hopefully they don't have to undergo too much !!
