Medical waiting time for CEC

Hello Everyone,

Here is my case, I have applied for PR last July 12, 2014. I got my file number last September 12, 2014. It has been 5 mos. since I received my file number but no recommendations yet from CIC for our medical. I have read here at the forum from months back that some people have received their medical requirement just after 3 or 4 mos. upon receiving their file number.

Will it be okay to call the CIC just to follow-up my application? I know it is a 13 mos. processing time, but I have only 6 mos. left to wait. What do you guys think? Can I call them or just wait till the 13 mos. is over?

well no need to call, you can go to june 2014 application thread, the last applicant to get MR had application reached 20 june(not very sure).....so you need to wait as i guess still a month to go because things have slowed down significantly as compared to few months ago...

No worries. Just stay calm.
My application was reached CIO on Jul 7, 2014 and I have not heard anything from CIC except the RCMP request.

Thank you guys! It is just a little bit worrisome because of what is happening now for the TFW....... I will wait.
