Medical under review

Hi, I have lodged my file on May 26, 2022. I did my medicals on May 09, 2022. On August 8, 2022, my medical changed into "We are reviewing your medical exam". I even checked with hospital and they everything is fine and it is successfully uploaded to IRCC. I have also mailed to IRCC and raised webform.


If anyone experienced this and got PPR, kindly guide me?

This is just part of the normal process. This doesn’t mean that you won’t receive PPR. HC professional reviewing your file is determining if further testing is required. For example if there are any irregularities on your chest x-ray you could be asked for a sputum culture and repeat chest X-ray. I assume that due to the backlog in medicals being reviewed IRCC now specifies that they are reviewing your medical exam to try and prevent many from contacting IRCC.

Thank you for your reply. When discussed with few students who experienced this, they said that this status (we are reviewing your medical exam) has been there for months and no update. As date gets closer to university opening, fear of getting results whether its positive or negative getting higher.

As previously mentioned there is a backlog when it comes to reviewing medicals. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do when it comes to speeding up the process. You will need to contact your school about the possibility of deferring admission if you don’t hear back about your visa soon.
