Medical tests for a 2.5 year old

Guys, I have a question : do kids under the age of 16 require medical tests?

I have received my ITA and got meds done for my wife and me, and have scheduled an appointment for my kid this weekend. But I remember reading somewhere that kids under 16 dont need a med test. Could somebody here please confirm?

We had to do medicals for our 9 month old for a temporary work Visa...I'm sure same rules would apply to PR....it is not as extensive as an adult medical...it is just ped giving ok certificate and I guess an eye checkup...

Children have a smaller test list. But the test is mandatory for them as well. I got the test done when my son was 2.5 as well
