Can we do medical test after receiving AOR ? If yes, then it will definitely shorten our application processing time.

Any one done similar before ?

I have heard of many folks who did the "Advanced Medicals". It has got both pros and cons. It is upto you to decide.

Adv : As you said , it will definitely chop off about a month's time in average, in your file processing; provided everything goes oout well and fast.

Disadv : You do your medicals now, and if by any chance, the processing of your file is delayed (There are 100 reasons you can find and so many examples from this site alone.); you might end up crossing the expiry date of your medicals (usually one year) and then have to re-do the medicals.

immigrant7 : Thanks for the reply.

If I am reading it right its the cost of medical test which is concern and if we do medical sometime after 2-3 month after receiving AOR then its a good option to consider.

I wont vouch for either of the cases. Trust me, if there's only one Uncertain thing in the world regarding processing times, it'll be CIC :) ...
Though I did my medicals after they asked me to do; I got my PP request only in the 10th month and by the time I got my VISA, I only had 3 weeks left to land. So it's not just the money, but the landing time window you are planning to give yourselves.
And I know one of my close friend, who too did medicals when CIC asked, but the processing delayed and ended up doing second round of medicals for him and his wife.

More discussion had already been taken place in this thread. Refer this please...

I submitted my application 6 months ago and have recieved AOR and BOWP. Ive tried to set up for the Medical Examination but the Doctors clinic is saying I have to get the medical request from CIC first. Has anyone else run into this?
