Hi Friends,

We have recd medical/RPRF/passport request for both (me & my wife) from CHC, New Delhi....we are expecting a baby by 3rd week of Sep'10...considering these facts, plz suggest answers to the following questions:

(1) As we cannot get medical done now...we just need to write a letter to CHC informing them about our baby or there is some other formality as well?

(2) Should I send medical requests back with the letter to CHC?

(3) What would be requirements that need to be fulfilled after the baby is born?

(4) After baby's birth, how early we can get the medical done (I mean when both baby & mom are both healthy enough to go for medical tests)?

(5) would we require to again submit proofs such as funds, IELTS, education etc?

(6) Any other point, which i forgot to ask here?

Thanks & Regards,

I am in the same situation. Just giving my personal opinion:

1. Since u have got ur medicals i would suggest that u both do it now itself but just do not do her x-rays now. The doc would put remark that she is pregnant and u could do it later.

2. After the child is born u need to make birth certificate and make passport and along with additional family information form and $ 150 need to send it across. Now again here u need to top up ur funds for the child inclusion.

3. they will add the child to ur file and send medicals for kid as well as just x-rays reports for ur wife.

You need to send RPRF now and a covering letter to CHC explaining all this.

Hi Shibuya,

Thanks a lot for your quick reply!!!

Just a quick question, as i read the letter recd from CHC, they have asked to send a 'complete package' including the following 4 things:

(1) Medicals for me & my wife
(2) RPRF fee
(3) our passports and
(4) Photographs showing marriage ceromony

As you suggested, can we send Medicals (though not complete without x ray for my wife), RPRF fee & photographs only?

I mean, would CHC accepts these. Have you also done the same?

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,
You can do the medicals without X-rays and doctor will put the remark as pregnant.
You send RPRF but do not send passports but send the photos as requested.

After ur medicals write a detailed letter and post to CHC about the pregnancy and reason of not submitting passports since the visas will be stamped for everyone together and it is pointless giving it now since again they will have to issue medical for ur wife ( x-ray) and medicals for the newborn.

This is how i plan to tackle .

Hi Shibuya,

Thanks a lot for your quick response!!

Just a couple of follow up questions:-

(1) As the medicals are valid for one year.....The validity of one year of my medicals (as they would be complete) would be from the date of medicals done?

(2) The validity of one year of my wife's medicals (as they would be incomplete pending her X-rays) would be counted from the date she goes for x-rays post the new born?

(3) Suppose we do not travel within one year of our respective medicals, would we require to just go for medicals again or there would be some requirements as well?

Regards,

(2) The validity of one year of my wife's medicals (as they would be incomplete pending her X-rays) would be counted from the date she goes for x-rays post the new born? not sure on this

(3) Suppose we do not travel within one year of our respective medicals, would we require to just go for medicals again or there would be some requirements as well? after the visa is issued and u do not travel before the expiry u will have to repeat this hectic and tedious process again.Alternatively u could land there for 45 days arrange ur pr card/sin etc and come back and re enter after 2 yrs but permanently if u wish to get their citizenship.

Hi..

One of my friend who has the similar situation he sent his medical (including his wife's x-ray in 20 weeks pregnancy) and other docs, he got a letter from visa office about the procedure to add new born baby. they instructed to submit following for the new baby within 60 days of baby born.

- IMM0008 Generic (revised)
- IMM5406 additional family information (revised)
- IMM5406 additional family information for spouse (revised)
- Passport copy of baby
- Birth/citizenship certificate
- 150 CAD payment
- Photos

I am also in the same boat.

I got RPRF, Photograph & Medical request on 21st April and my wife is pregnant of 23 weeks.

In the letter it mentioned to submit medicals by 60 days and RPRF by 30 days.

what I did.. I submited the RPRF, Photos and letter for paryer to extend my medical submission for all due to my wife's pregnancy. I mentioned that as medical has one year of validity that's why I want to submit medicals for all in same time after the new baby born.
I also mentioned in the application, if they dont allow extension then I am ready to submit medicals (without x-ray of my wife) within 60 days as mentioned in letter on 21st April..

Till now I dont have any response from Visa office. I will wait few more days and if I dont get any response then I will send medicals (without xray of wife) by 20 th june 2010.

thanks...

Hi,
Am also in thesame shoes, my wife was 23 weeks pregnant when our medical request came, my son and i completed our exams and my wife did all the other tests but the xrays, we sent the results like that, after a month we got a letter from chc requesting her chest xray within 60 days(letter was addressed to DMP) we were instructed not to open it, unfortunately, my wife had travelled out of the country then, to have the baby, so i sent a letter explaing her inability to complete her exams even though the DMP asked her to come now and could use an xray shield. Upon delivery we sent all the necessary documents needed to add the baby and its been almost 2mths now and we havent heard from CHC and our medicals are expiring in october.

hi adebolakazeem,
when did you submit all docs for your new born baby and which one is your visa office?
