Passport was sent out last night through Xpress Priority to Buffalo. I was told it would reach there tomorrow morning. Also, a returned Xpress envolop was put inside, it would take two business if they send it from Fort Erie. So we will see.

i am in canada.. came as a student long time ago.. i made an appointment at local cic office in saskatoon. People who are already here dont have to leave the country unless they reallly like to..

for those who got their VISA already, are your wife/husband, not in canada, need to attend some kind of seminars prior to landing?

You may have found me wrong, I didn't want to offend you in any term.

I've just read first couple of lines of the link. Even if it's mandatory requirement, it's bestowed upon FILIPINO EMIGRANTS, not FILIPINO IMMIGRANTS to CANADA. So, it may be a rule of Philippines, cannot be for Canada. If it were a rule for anyone immigrating to Canada, we would all know this by now. When you first asked, you kind of generalized all immigrants as none may not have any clue re: this. Therefore, only a FILIPINO who immigrated from Phillippines can answer to your query.

Interesting! I showed it to my wife, and she found this:

http://lbautista.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pprvisa&action=display&thread=4703#ixzz1jv4SxBqi

I think it just applies for Filipino.

Might be helpful for MissMyHubbyInCanada

Cheers.

rossei, no offencement on my part.. :) coz haven't read anything about this (CFO seminar) here that's why i'm asking if u guys attended ..this just for clarification.

It's a mandatory seminar for filipino immigrants leaving the philippines.
