They notice but they don't have time for confirmation. As long as you email or fax, keep the copy (receipt "delivered") so we have proof to notice them on the date, etc.

I know Detroit calls the employer after you send your passport for stamping... But not Buffalo.. But u can never rule out any possibilities... If you really want to quit, may be as soon as the passport is stamped go for a vacation and then give notice to ur employer once the landing is done...

Well waited this much.. So just for a month more wait its not a good idea to leave the job,,
Thanks Sinpguy, your friendly advice is valuable.

Also at the landing, the IO at POE may ask you a magic question that can ruin all your effort: Are you still working with the same employer? Please show proof of your employment.

They do not always ask this but they OCCASIONALLY ask PNPs because most of us apply for PR under employer-drive category. With a growing number of PNPs fleeing out from nominating provinces or employers, POE now has the power to refuse your landing.

A complaint call or email from your employer or nominating province may also overturn everything, even if you have your visa in hand. Once you become PR, you are free.

I strongly recommend you to wait until after landing.
Thanks Truongan for your advice. But the IO and POE should be broadminded enough to realize that some employers are bias especially when they don't want good employee to let go, they (IO/POE) should think that this is harassment and only means that you are asset. But I'll take your words though. :D

huhh.. my passport on its way back .. finally..

Hello, when was your passport received by them. And how many days did they take to stamp in your visa?

Thank you

My friend,

At this point I recommend you to contact the concerned management team at Buffalo to inquire your case. The preferred contact for our forum members has been Ms. Catherine Bailey as she acts quite fast to reasonable complaints. You are, however, not sending a complaint, rather a reminder that your file will be reaching a due course very shortly so Catherine can help trigger the IO handling your case to speed up the PPR.

It is still a mystery for me to see some cases that were recently lodged in to Buffalo somewhere between September to November 2011 have now been called for PPR by Ottawa-CPP, which means a 2-3 month total processing time for them. While it is a good relief for those lucky people, it is also a huge frustration for those who’ve been waiting for over a year now.

Seriously thats really annoying. We people waiting for more than a year and now buffalo really forget about processing timeline.
