How did you get it? Book appointment with US Consulate?

yes you have to book an appointment with US Consulate responsible for your region from the website. you follow the instruction on website then come in person for an interview. If approved, you will get 10 year visa as a Canadian PR.

It's very straight forward.

How much it comes the total expense including the application fee...

$140 CAD Application fee + $8 parking in downtown Calgary LOL. If you are from SK I believe Calgary is the closest US consular post. I saw a couple drive here this morning from Saskatoon for US Interview.

Well, I included in my application employment letter, pay stubs, bank statement and some property. She asked me if the date I became PR was the date I first arrived, i said no, i came here in 2004 as a student. she went on to ask my company name, my job title, how many days was my longest trip to US before, if I have any family relatives in Canada and US, then she advised my visa is approved for 10 year multiple entry and returned all the docs to me.

It was very easy, much less tension than dealing CIC Buffalo for the PR :D Just follow the website if you need US Visa. I dont have any plan to go to US anytime soon, but just in case I need to I have it ready.

Have you received passport request yet? I'm checking out the average timeline for AINP here. It looks like an average 2-6 months.

Is this 10 year US visa only to enter US or live and work..?

I just got my PPR!

I was just reading PPR email, it says send two pass-port sized pictures, but when you click on the link of photo sspecifications, it takes me to permanent resident card photos and it is saying it is not the say as passport photos..

Thoughts?

its diffrernt from passport photo... its 35mm x 45 mm... from head to chin 25mm-30 mm.. congrats..
