I got ppr within 3 min after I received that email. But u never know

I dont expect it to be that fast! but I hope they look into this and get me something quick in like a week or something. To make matters worse, my passports are with indian embassy in toronto for new PCC ....LOL
If i get a PPR, my passports r still stuck in toronto...
I hope they release my passports soon along with the new PCC

I'm set on fire, too, feeling like I am sitting on a flame. I have a travel plan on Dec 21 and I need to prepare travel documentation for the trip. Wish Buffalo can be a little bit flexible in my case. They said in an email that my passport is in line for visa printed and THREATEN to return it without the visa (if I want to) :( So frustrated!

I should have waited until I complete the trip to ship my pp to Buffalo. What is your ecas status now?

exactly what day Buffalo/Fort Erie received your passport? If you send to Fort Erie, it will take a few days to be transported to Buffalo.

I recommend everyone to ship pp directly to Buffalo, but provide prepaid envelop so they ship it back from Fort Erie. I don't believe Buffalo picks up from Fort Erie everyday

November 8, 2011. Can not ship your passport direct to Buffalo, there are no instruction on this from the email.2 choices only: 1. sent to Fort Eric 2. Buffalo for in-person only.
Don't know how long is the queue line :o :o :o

Maybe they are checking your passport? LOL just curious....

I'm visiting this forum after a long time.... Congrats sinpguy for getting through...
I'm very glad to see Nov, Dec and January applicants getting their PPR's. Unfortunately, I'm an October applicant (Am I the last October applicant here :()

Here's a recap of my timeline...

Applied for OPNP - June 22, 2010
Sent application to Buffalo -Oct 17, 2010
Medical Request/AOR - May 31, 2011
Medicals Done - June 4, 2011

Ecas read the following (2 lines only)
Your Application was received on Oct 19,2010
Medical Results have been received. (The 2nd line came up on Oct 10, 2010)

I sent them emails on 2 occasions (1st week of Oct and 1st week of Nov), and I got the standard reply stating "your file is under process and they can't give a specific timeline".

I'm thinking of emailing them again (looking at sinpguy's success story with email). If that doesn't work, what should I do? Processing time is 14 months, so I must get something by Dec 19 and I'm worried they might slow down for the holidays too.

I feel the same Truongan. Sending it to Fort Erie would further delay your passport return. I think, you can directly send to Buffalo office too from Canada.

Should I apply to get GCMS/CAIPS notes? Will this be helpful? And if so where do I start?

I would say, whenever possible, just go there in person. I had a friend wait for 2.5 months after sending his passport to New York (New York doesn't allow Walk-in's too). Another friend had to wait for a month (28 days) after mailing his Passport to Buffalo. So you can never be certain... :(

You can send it directly to Buffalo no problem. Don't need to always follow instruction.
