SINP,

Here is the info they sent me. I hope this is useful

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)

Every principal applicant and his/her accompanying spouse/common law partner is required to pay a Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) in the amount of $490 CAD or $490 USD.

The RPRF must be submitted in the form of a money order, certified cheque or bank draft payable to the “Canadian Consulate General”. Please write your application number on the back of the cheque, money order or bank draft. The RPRF will be refunded if for any reason you do not immigrate to Canada.

You want to become Visa Officer so you need to go through all these so later on you become a good and compassionate VO and dont make it difficult for others.

Hey they released requirements for Super Visa today. Do you plan to bring your parents here? The income requirement is same as sponsorship, higher than expected. And the health insurance is the worst part, must be one year at least and $100,000 coverage which may cost sponsor $2000 a year. Are you ready for this new challenge?

I was very interested thinking that I could apply for my mom from within Canada (like sponsorship). Alas! it's all same as applying for TRV. As my father passed away and I don't have any other siblings; she can't prove any strong tie to our homeland. She was rejected for TRV when she applied to attend my convocation even though she visited more than 20 countries when my father was alive. Anyway, these are all irrelevant here.

Someone should open up a topic re: Super Visa in the forum.
