yes, post grad work permit valid until summer 2013

I mailed out my passport and photos today. Amazingly cheap to ship from Calgary, 2 express envelop for only $38 :)

I hope we all receive PPRs before Christmas. They are wrapping up quota for 2011.

Congrats Truongan!!!

I honestly do not know. Immigration is very random, each case is unique under their eyes, and we cannot tell anything about our own case from others similiar. I wish you best of luck. Since you already have the line 'started processing', I guess PPR won't be far for you.

Have you cleared all Police Certificates requirement? Did you live in more than one country since 18th birthday? How many visa required in your application? Is your job stable? Is you NOC favorable to Canada?

Those are some factors that may affect the processing time.

@Truongan

I have two questions

1; when u ecas updated to medical received ?
2; when u received ur passport request today , your address was disappeared for some time or not ?

My address disappeared yesterday and reappeared this morning

1; when u ecas updated to medical received ?

Oct 10, 2011 same as everyone, it was a massive ecas update

2; when u received ur passport request today , your address was disappeared for some time or not ?

my address still there today. but a few days ago it was disappeared, same as many others, it was also a massive ecas update

Hello everybody, Just want to share my timeline.
Application received: Dec 6, 2010
AOR and MR: June 2011
MR sent to Ottawa: July 5, 2011
Started Processing: Nov 3, 2011
waiting for PPR...
Hopefully everything should go well to all of us and Happy Thanksgiving!

hi!
any update ? thanks for sharing :)

Hi my time line is

Application received:Jan. 24,2011
AOR and medical request: August 15,2011 by mail(paper documents)
Medical recived: Sep.22,2011
Started processing: Nov.21,2011
Waiting for ppr

my address on ecase-staus disappeared on Nov 23.2011 and reappeared on Nov.24,2011
I emailed buffalo general enquiry and asked them about my application current status.I also told them I was wondering my file is still in Buffalo or has been transferred to any other visa office.(I just thought it could be transferred since my address was disappeared for one day)

I received reply "Your file is with a visa officer for review. When that review is completed, you will be contacted."

Do you think my file is still staying at buffalo office for security check? How long do I need to wait for PPR?

Hey Jumbo
After they start processing it is very unlikely to get transferred. After ecas changed to "in process" the chances of getting any response from visa office(not necessarily ppr) ranges from one day to a month from what I saw in this forum. On an average u should get response from within a week or two. It could be ppr/doc req/rprf. So keep ur fingers crossed.

Huh 2 jan 24 applicants got ecas update. There is a small hope for me and Morgan now.
