They complain about resource shortage and they spend time on things they not supposed to, based on LAW.

After we get PR, we should all apply to work in Immigration.
We'd be better visa officers than the ones they have now

Send them the expiring permit and beg them to pull your file out from dust.

Or if they are working on your file, please speed it up!

I have seen some ppl that have expiring permits and their cases were given priority. But you should be in touch with the management, not clerks, or general mailbox monitors, because they wouldn't even bother to forward your email to the right person.

For complicated issues, always communicate with the managers, that's rule of thumb!

Also changed Nomination from Ontario to BC midway through cause I changed jobs. Thankfully, I did not have to put in another application. Buffalo told me to apply for a nomination from BC which I got within 4 weeks. Strange thing was that my address was never changed on ECase...

If you are a PNP applicant..
1. you are eligible for work permit extension from ur employer as long as u have a PNP certificate which states the name of ur current employer. You will get a closed work permit.
2. If you have changed ur job and ur current employer is not the same as the employer on the PNP certificate then you will have to go to ur PNP office ASAP and inform them about ur case. They will probably print u a new copy of PNP certificate with the updated employer....
Once you have this' apply for work permit immediately. As long as u applied for the work permit, and ur current work permit goes expired...u still wont have a problem according to CIC policies; u will still be legal with status.

U better act now, Buffalo is a screwed up office and they wont care if u r getting out of status or not.

In my case, i have my open work permit till the end of October 2012. I have substantial time with me , but i still sometimes worry the way buffalo handles their case...

Make sure u have a plan B ..immediately...
What province are u from?
