Thanks Sam. Under PR - Single Category. My SINP nomination file was received by Buffallo November 2010. Medical request sent June 2011. Medical done June 2011. Medical sent to Ottawa July 2011. Received an email on August 2011 transferring my file from Buffallo office to Detroit. My Ecas still "Application Received". First week of October 2011 my Ecas changed from "Application Received to In -Process stating that they started processing my application September 2011 and Medical Received" last week they send an email requesting for Original copy of Certificate of No-Marriage.Document needed sent right away and will arrived in Detroit tom. tuesday. Hoping for the best.
You will surely get a PR then. Usually I have seen Detroit office making last minute verification checks requesting your employement, pay stubs, T4 etc etc....
You should be recieveing a PPR once they verify the documents.

lets send an enquiry!

There is no harm of sending an email inquiry to the visa office.

If their reply is " we have requested background information from other government offices, unfortunatly, we are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete"

It means that your application is still stuck with the background check which unfortunaly takes from 1 month to 2 years sometimes.

If their reply is "Your application is inprocess, unfortunatly we cannot provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete"

It means that they have got your background check results, and are waiting to asign the less busier immigration officer to finalize your case.

If their response is "your application is in a final reveiw with an immigration officer".

It means that they have already asigned the case to the immigration officer, and he will be finalizing your case very soon, according to the applications order pending final review.

If you send them an inquiry, please let me know which response you get from them.

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

Got this when I emailed Buffalo CIC on Sep 25th.
Guess that means that I should be getting PPR soon? Since its been 20+ days since then?
Application recieved - Oct 25th 2010
AOR / Med - May 18th
Med done - June 1st
Med received in Ottawa - June 10th
ECAS updated to medical received - Oct 1st week(not too sure what date)
PPR - Soon.....

Sinpguy!
All indications l0ok very good....
I have found the above message replies form buffalo...and I also provided what stages at ur application at....
Those who got replies have already cleared their background checks and are waiting for the final results....Furthermore, it matches the information I provided earlier that they dont usually put "medicals received" until they finish the background check...

OMG according to GCMS, my file is still 'in progress' for criminal checks. RCMP must be overloaded recently! I should have included Canadian police clearance with the application :'(

Medical status 'passed' updated on Oct 5

I think for me criminal checks is the last thing before PPR but why it's so long  they started it on Sep 2 and until now still no news from RCMP. Security checks only apply to certain cases

Normally when we request clearance for employment police asks 5 weeks to complete so I guess it's longer for immigration.
