ECAS update will be application received, then we started processing your appliucation xxx and then medical received line. I got my PPR 3 days after after medical received and 30 days exactly after medical done. All the best guys

any update from Ottawa?

I agree!! it's not fun when you are left in limbo. Anybody from april 2011 (applied) heard anything back ever since the medical update happened in around sep/oct in online status..? I am trying to send an email to Buffalo office and it's bouncing back. Do you guys know if their address has been changed or soemthing..?

Nope. Nothing is heard. If they are working on the backlog, then at least we would hear a few PPRs....maybe they purposely slow down to control the immigration flow.

It’s not just with PR applications, they are also slow with visitor visa. My DC friend who wants to come here and visit me next month went went to New York to submit her application last Tuesday as it is the only place opens to public and offers Same-day Service in that area. She was told to wait for email notification, but till now she hasn’t received anything.

I guess we just have to wait and see. I wish all the 2011 applicants can get their PPRs by the end of the year!

Same stuff happened with me too, when i was renewing my work permit, it asks me questions related to PR status and medical exams.. anyways i uploaded all the documents including Medical receipts and PNP certificate and other related docs then i got 2 years of work permit... Because i was PNP nominated that's why i got closed work permit.. So my suggestion is no need to worry go ahead with uploading documents.

Hi Shaikhaffi,

How long did it take to renew your work permit.

Thanks in advance,
Pkrandp

more than 6 months? you applied on Jan 30, 2012 or Jan 30, 2011?

I think 6 months is nothing man. Here people are waiting for 15-16 months and still no PPR so for you its pretty fast if your application is in process already.
