This is what I get when I check status using my wifes information to log in. So I am worried cause I did my medical last year Jan 21st. And today is the 9th. And I don't want to waste anymore time! They were on strike for 3 months, plus I have to travel to Paris = $$$. But yeah if it's a must got to do it.

Permanent Residence
We received [my name here]'s application for permanent residence on June 14, 2013.

We started processing [my name here]'s application on December 27, 2013.

Medical results have been received.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since they started to work on my application last 2 weeks, is it cause of my medical being close to 1 year now? Is that a good sign or redo it? Or wait for a letter to re-do it?

Thank you all!

When my wife's was a few weeks before expiry I sent them an email asking the expiry date or the medicals and if they could extend them if the application isn't approved before then. A couple days later she got her PR and they phoned her if she could come pick up her passport and be in Canada before the expiry of the medical (which we did do).

You might want to give that a try before redoing it. If everything else is ready they might just approve so they don't have to extend and you don't need to redo.

Don't fret over it much. Some agents can request an extension on medical exam validity by additional 12 months. That said, it is not the rule and it is purely up to agent's decision. So I would wait for CIC's request to do the medical again.

Is Paris the closest city? There are 4 other cities you can get your medical done. Bordeaux, Nice, Nimes and Rennes.

Yeah but taking different types of Trains from my country = longer wait for connections. IF not Paris is a 2 hour train ride with that scary TGV! ( I hate TGV, and any planes)! Anything over 100km per hour will freak me out!

But alright I'll wait so no need to email them?

Very fast train doing over 350 km per hour. Or taking a jet there 50 minutes by flight.

Cool fast train. I would have loved to ride in one of those for experience's sake.

But yeah give it a try and if you ever go to France. Don't buy the ticket online, cause if your late you won't get your money back! Just so you know.

I got my "medical result received" on Feb 4, how many more months would I get PR, any ideas? Please help because my medical result will soon expired :(
