Hello guys!

In response to my Querry on 20/09/2013, I received the following reply from LVO!
"Background checks are outstanding and these may take several months to complete. We will advise further when in a position to do so."

Any Thoughts??
Meds are to expire in first week of january 2014!

thoughts of re-meds are starting to haunt me!

Hi,

I received the same reply in July, and also since one week. we are in the same situation my medical will expire at the end of December 2013.
I also prepared myself to the idea of resubmitting the medical test again.

Don't delay landing as airlines also have a restriction on travelling after a number of weeks in pregnancy. They don't allow you to travel in mid or late pregnancy

7 months pregnancy is where most airlines refuse boarding.

Hi Friend
Do you have more info about sponsership application for new born .... I mean is it difficult , how long to process , and any more info ?

Hi

To be able to sponsor a child you must first meet eligibility requirements for sponsorship: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp

Unfortunately, unless you bring the child with you on a visit visa (or if the child is from visa exempt country), there will be a long wait before the child can join you..

No problem.. any reason you were asking this question? Are you in a similar situation?

It will take 23 days (or a month) for sponsoring new born

Hi Coolguy,

23 days is only the time to assess the sponsor. The actual sponsorship time is dependent on the visa office applied to and can be several months:

Hey buddy I have a quesion. I alreadysentpassport andpof tonewDelhiofficeinJuly. I showed fixed deposite for pof. And still I am waiting for visa. But due to personal problem I want to take overdraft (loan) on my fd. Is CHC contactingbank forthis? Is there any negative effect due to this? Can I do it or wait for my visa. Please suggest me. Hi rizmayo, u may be right but understand the practical difficulties for parents of new born kid.

It should not take more than month for sponsoring new born atleast

CHC normally asks for POF at 2 stages, first at time of application and supporting documents and second at final stage before visa issuance. The actual verification of the statement with your bank is now rare, however it still does happen.

You do not want to be the exception to the case and find out later that you were one of the few whose bank statement was verified and you did not have the amount in your bank.

Now if you take an OD on your fixed deposit, the amount in your bank will not decrease, however I am not sure how the bank will respond to the query from CHC on how much you have in your account. As CHC will not be asking about your loans, I suggest you consult your bank and ask them what your net statement will be after taking the OD and what will be communicated to CIC on verification.

If they will verify the amount in your fixed deposit as is, I see no reason why this will cause a problem for you.
