Hi,

I applied for FSW visa back in 2011 and received an acknowledgement on May 31, 2011. I'm from Pakistan and my V.O is London. The L.V.O requested the medicals sometime at the end of year 2011 and asked to pay the RPRF as well. Later they requested the updated police certificates in July 2012 and asked to fill out the new IMM0008 forms. We submitted everything as requested by the L.V.O. After that there was complete silence for few months so I got concerned and tried to inquire about my application status couple of times and each time I received the same reply that background checks are outstanding. Now last month in August 2013 we again received a request to go through the medicals for the second time and they asked us to send the latest police certificates for the third time. The V.O has received the Medical reports and latest Police certificates this week. Now, I need to know what is going to be the next step and how long it will take to get the PPR ?? Thanks.

Hi Everyone!

I finally got the letter in which they request my passport! I'm so happy. I want to share with you my TL but also my experience. However, before I do that I need to help. I live in Venezuela and I need to send my passport to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City. I've always use DHL to send all my paperwork and it has been just fine. Now, should I use DHL to send my passport? or is there another service? I would really appreciate any advice.

Now here is my TL:

I applied the Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (Which does not exist anymore) on March, 2010. It took them for ever to approve me and send me my nomination (there were some specific requests) . In fact, I got my nomination on november, 2011. When I got my nomination I needed to start my application for PPR, however, my dad was really sick at the time and I had to delay the process, ( I sent CIC a letter and they understood). I finally applied to PPR on March, 2012 and got my first line on ecas on December 7th,2012. On January 25th, I got a letter that asked me to get medicals done, pay PPR Fee, and send backgruond checks from Venezuela (Since I went to College in the states, I had to sent previous to this an FBI background check). I did all that and sent send them everything they had requested. By March, 2013 I got my second line on ecas. However, it was "Medical results have been received" insted of "We started processing your application on..." But then on August 28th I got my third line and now"Medical results have been received"moved to the third line and "We started processing your application on August 28th moved to the second line. I received the letter requesting my passport on September 13th. Now I just have to send my passport and wait for it.

Prayer does help my friends, so keep it up. Stay positive and persevere.

Good luck to you all, and thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to provide.

Hi ignacio,
best wishes, DHL would be the best option to my knowledge, they are very fast and reliable, and DHL is safe to send passports too!, hope this helps,
all the best!

Medical results have been received as per my ecas dated 13 Sep 2013. Also on the same day, I received an invitation letter from CIC to register for pre-departure orientation seminar. Does this mean that PPR will be coming very soon?

Usually this invitation comes with PPR, so it should not be far behind now.

Regards,

it mean you passed medical as well, and there is no problem in your medicals. now these will be valid for one year from the date of your medical.
if your security is passed already then you will get PPR soon otherwise now yoru file will be under security checks which may take from 04-10 months depending. NEKEOL

Hi everyone,

I wish that everything under control and all of you guys are in good health.

I have a question:
Why when I send to LVO an enquiry they respond from this address?

Immigration and Medical Services Division
High Commission of Canada
38 Grosvenor Street
London W1K 4AA, United Kingdom

However in the past, and before I submit the medical results, they were sending from the following address:

High Commission of Canada/Haut-commissariat du Canada
Immigration Section/Service d'immigration
1 Grosvenor Square
London W1K 4AB/Londres W1K 4AB
United Kingdom/Royaume-Uni
