Hi everyone,

We got this email from the CEM last 13 May 2013, but until now we have not got any updates on our application.
Can anyone share any knowledge regarding this matter? Like, what is taking CEM too long and other related matters.

Thank you.

"Please be advised that your file is currently queued for review of the officer.

We will advise you in writing if additional documents or information is required. For the meantime, your patience is appreciated as we continue to process your application."

Yes and we also have the 3rd line in our e-cas, "Medical results have been received".
It was posted last year sometime July-August.

Hello hope.

Getting a license is a must. If u r living in Mississauga it is hard to commute without a car. The transit system is not at it's best. Especially with kids winters can be more difficult.

There is three steps to become a fully licensed driver.
1. G1
2. G2
3. G

G1 - is what you get after passing the written exam. The mto department has privatized this facility and you can find their branches under the name of drive test. With G1 you can drive only with a G licensed driver.

If you are not a experienced driver (presume 2 years) you will have to wait for 12 month to give the road test for G-2

G2 - You can drive alone but not after midnight to 5 am. The alcohol level must be zero.

G- You can have all the privileges and .08% of alcohol level.

To verify the genuineness of your license you will have to go Pakistan consulate in Vaughan area @ highway 407 - administrative block ( you can google it) . Print the form from their website and submit it with 22.50$ fees incl taxes.

With this your wait time for G2 will be exempted and you will be able to give the test for G license. Insurance being @ 200$ per month.

You can inquire from the foreign office in Pakistan if they will do the verification. This will save your time. Getting to Vaughan from Mississauga in public transit is a hell journey . Took me the whole day.

Hope this will help.

Search is going for the job. Not lucky yet :(

Gtg. More later

For G alcohol level must be under .05% and if you are under 21 yrs then it should be 0.

I lived in mississauga and bus service is pretty good on certain routes so you can avoid to own a car for the first year as car insurance in GTA is very high for new drivers

Depends on your lifestyle whether to own a car or not. 200$ to keep your family and kids comfortable is nothing. You would not want to board a bus with ur little ones in a snowy weather. Anyways every1 has different thoughts :)

For alcohol level I might be incorrect . Confirm it from the MTO.ca website. Paste the source/link confirm the genuineness of your statement so others can know as well.
