Hey all, I am a Feb 2010 applicant. Completed my medical on 23rd May 2013 but LVO has not changed my e-case to "Medical Received" even after more than two months. Today I have sent them a case specific enquiry. I wonder why are they so slow when it comes to old cases.

YOUR MEDICAL RESULT ARE WITH MEDICAL EXPERTS, THEY AHVE TO DECIDE AND THEN UPDATE YOUR CASE. SOMETIME THEY EVEN ISSUE PPR WITHOUT MEDICAL LINE RECIVED, THERFORE DONT WORRY IF MEDICAL ARE CLEAR. NORMAL UPDATING TIME IS 10 DAYS TO 3 MONTHS.

In June 2013 I inquired about my my application status from LVO, they stated that:

“Background checks are outstanding and these may take several months to complete. We will advise further when in a position to do so”.

“Background checks are outstanding and these may take several months to complete. We will advise further when in a position to do so”.

I sent another email and asked from LVO that, You mean background checks are not yet initiated? Or You are awaiting the results of routine background enquiries? when I can expect my application to move forward to the next step? They replied that:

They are in process. Each case is unique and it is not possible to provide time frame estimates as you request.

And my Pakistani police certificate is expiring on 03 September 2013, should I apply for new one?

I think they initiated background checks in May 2013

Guys if you are concerned about the delays and the strike - perhaps you may want to give momentum to our voice. I personally think that so far Canadian media has not really touched the plight of many of us who might be in a limbo cuz of this strike. So please - let's join on one platform to inform them how badly it is impacting us. We are based in Toronto/Ottawa and are willing to stage protests infront of CIC office if we gather enough support.

My case is also similar to yours. I did my medicals on November 2012 and on march 2013 they asked for Schedule A deceleration forms. Please could you tell be from which email address you contacted them and they gave you a reply. I'd like to know the email address please. So far I've not been able to contact them and ask about the status of my application.

you don't need to get your new police certificate issued. if it's required by them they will ask for it. So don't waste you money and time on it. That's my opinion.

I recently got response from LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca on my csi.

Earlier it used to come from re-london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

Does it imply anything?

My Friend got PPR from LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca
