At least now you know everything about your case, everything is clear now...

Once they complete bgc, they will send MR to you

And once you passed Medicals, you will get straightly PPR :)

But in my case routine background chk in under way after Medicals :D

Hi,

I had medicals on May 23, 2013. Along with medical request Paris Visa office asked me for updated forms and payment of "right of permanent landing fee". My question is that whether it is a positive sign?

Hi Nekeol,

New York VO apparently works differently.

Last August 2012, VO sent my MR and along with it RPRF, they also asked for clearance from Royal Canadian Mounted Police. RCMP took almost six months to process it. Then in May 2013 VO asked for FBI clearance again (since I had sent them FBI PC back in 2010 when I applied)

It seems that it will never end. I am just forgetting about his and continuing my life as if I had not applied.

If I get sent PPR great, if not, I will at least have lived my life instead of waiting and waiting and waiting.

Every step that I go though they say, you should receive PPR within 2 months, and almost 12 months have passed and nothing, no signs on PPR.

I just received an email from my lawyer and they said that my case is backed up because Canada closed 3 processing VO in the USA and now there are only 2 VOs processing the cases, New York and Los Angeles.

Let's just hope for the best.

Guys pl note and dont confuse urself:

Background checks completes - u get MR - however case specific some minor verification checks will continue to be done while MR is in progress - after 31 days post which DMP sends over medical report - ecas updates to MR received - this is done by Regional Processing centre

Criminiality checks done through Foss - Google for Foss for more info

Security checks time consuming done through CSIS - GOOGLE FOR CSIS FOR MORE INFO

ALSO FYI -

MANUAL RCMP CLEARANCE - 90-120 DAYS AND ELECTRONIC - 3 DAYS.

Dear Terki,
Very good information. but it confused me little.
What will VO reply in these three cases?
Suppose First case, will they reply BGC in process?
2nd Security Checks, again BGC in process?
3rd for Criminality?
Can you share, if is there any difference for these three status CSI replies?

Hello,

I got my GCMS notes. MY GCMS notes generated date is 23 May 2013.

Sad to see that everything is same as it was in previous notes (04 April 2013), just simply duplicate copy... no new information entered.

I was expecting some progress since my due date was 5 May 2013.

But Again:

Security: Not started :o
Criminality: Not started :o

On inquiry to LVO, they replied that:

Your Background checks are outstanding and these may take several months to complete.
We will advise further when in a position to do so.
MCH

Its going to be 8 months since i completed my medical. I am tired of KEEP WAITTTTTTTTTTIINNNNGGGGGG :(

Hey everyone! I'm sponsoring my husband who
is currently in Senegal Africa. We applied for spousal sponsorship in May 2012 and then on June 10th 2013 I got an email asking him to go for a new medical, a new police report and to send his actual passport in. How soon should we expect his PR or entry visa? He did his medical today and we mailed everything to the visa office today. If they asked for his passport, does that mean they are going to give him his PR soon?
Thanks :o
