Good Things Come To Those Who Wait
They say good things come to those who wait,
But how long can a man wait before he's forced to create.
His own good things- Because happiness has missed me,
And I wonder if when I'm gone- Will the world will really miss me.
I wonder if in my history- I will ever feel again,
I wonder if I'll ever find out- If this thing called 'love' is real again.
I will never deal again- 'Cuz now Im all out of cards,
Seems like I'm just a number and life is the Queen of Hearts.
I should've seen this part- But I was blinded by my own prayers,
It's been a constant uphill battle- But I've been climbing up the wrong stairs.
No one cares- That much has already been established,
There's too much pain with no happy moments- I'm just trynna create a balance.
My talents have deminished- I'm nearly finished and through,
You gotta take the good with the bad- But when there's no good, what do you do?
Surrounded by failure- So success seems like a dream,
But at night I can't sleep- So dreaming is impossible for me.
Happiness doesn't come free- But pain don't cost a thing,
And I'm already emtionally poor- So I just accept what Life brings.
And what the night brings- Which for me is another chance,
To reminisce about what I could've had- Had things been placed in my hands.
But they were always out of reach- So now I guess it's too late,
They say patience is a virtue- And good things come to those who wait.
