It's a great place to raise a family, though very expensive.
Lot's of hurdles for people without Canadian experience or education, however this struggle is temporary and once you are able to land your first job or complete a degree, this no longer applies to you 8) .
A thing someone told me long ago about Canada (many people here have said the same thing to me since then) now seems to be very true: CIC does not choose us for our high skills and professional past experience, they are only interested in our children. As they know, a doctor from Pakistan may drive a taxi here, but will still push his children to complete their formal university education.
So my friends come to Canada knowing that we are going through this struggle for our children and you will have the feeling of success as soon as you come out of the airport
Regards,
