'Medical results have been received' and Waiting for PPR

Friends,

We have changed our permanent address from earlier which was mentioned on passport. Now If i apply for new passport it will take a week or two max.

can i do my Medicals on current passport or only new passport will be required for that?
Can i apply for PCC on basis of my current passport or that can be done only on basis of latest passport?


Need answers on these questions from people who allready did medicals and PCC.

hi shreya,
* if you have more years valid (more than 1yr)on your current passport, all you have to do is endorse your new address in your passport don't have to change your passport.
*you can do medicals with your new passport, they wont look for your address in your passport rather it is mainly for identity.
* regarding pcc if you are going to maintain the old address ie in your passport currently in all cic documents you can do pcc with your current passport, other wise you can endorse ie change new address and at the same time apply for pcc.

I sent my medical forms including my wife and my son to Delhi visa office. I sent a query regarding the new born, so they gave 3 months time extension and asked me to send with below documents.

- Updated Imm8 for you and your spouse
- Updated Proof Of Funds for family of 4
- Medicals x 3
- Copy of Birth Certificate for newborn
- Copy of Passport for newborn
- Compliant photographs for all
- Passports for all
- Updated FBI cert for you and your spouse

1. They also mentioned all members in the family need to under go medical examination, so if I submit new born documents, they may send for medical form for new born. So can I submit original passports(all family members) later or do I need to send now ? will they issue separate request for passport?

2. How long does it take after we send the original passports ?

3. In case of emergency travel will they send the passports back ?since I m out of country right now.

4. Which Delhi Visa office address do we need to send the above documents, as per letter it has given PO box, but fedex wont delivery PO poxes. does anyone please provide exact address ?

Finally I received the passport request for self & family via email.What can I say!!! I am in 7th heaven. I completed my medicals on the 23rd of June and was looking forward to an updated status. Till last evening there was no update on the online status. Just the usual we have begun processing your application so wasn't expecting anything soon.

I thank the almighty for this as he thinks I deserved this at this stage of my life. I am sure all of you too shall be blessed with good news soon. Because just as misery spreads misery happiness does spread happiness. For those who will be wanting to know my time line I would like to say it is already on the spread sheet.

What is the difference between London Visa office Reply :-

1. Backgroud checks are outstanding. (Received reply 03months before)

2. Your file is currently in a queue awaiting review by an officer. (Received reply few days before)

I am confused and any help from seniors will be appreciated.

I also did the filing in the month of may, already got PER couple of days ago !

Does anyone have an idea about Canadian Immigrant Integration Program (CIIP) ?

When exactly one can apply there to join the newcomers orientation program in India ?

I heard it helps a lot settling down as a new immigrant in Canada..!!!

Would highly appreciate if someone has some related re-search done on it and would not mind sharing it...

You are eligible to apply for CIIP session only after getting MR.
