Hi I would like to share my experience in processing my Medical here in Philippines, Cebu.
I went to process my Medical and as i thought My healtH is okay and confident that i will pass. But unluckily the clinic told me that i have spot in my Lungs?? I was depressed and been advise to take a sputum exam. So i did it but i need to have a second opinion to make sure Im really ok because i was afraid i will spread the TB. But i was confused. I have taken my re Xray two days after i have taken the Xray with spots and there is no spot at all ,my doctor said whats wrong with them, i have let the panel doctor see it but all she said it was the manila embassy doctor's decision. And i need to follow to wait to clear my lungs in 3months. It is funny right?? My lungs are clear but i need to wait to clear my lungs? Disappointed and there is nothing i can do about it. They just making someone broken dreams. Hope God will forgive you for whatever your doing to your people. Maybe i will not expect to much to be in Canada anymore because of such medical processing here they are connected. Its not worth to be trusted. If they gonna tell you have suspicious spot? Don't hesitate to ask for another opinion. Maybe i will never be meant for Canada. God bless.

Without seeing the x-rays it is hard to comment. As long as you have a matching spot or clear lungs three months from now and a sputum culture that does not grow anything you will be fine. If you find that many patients are finding spots on their lungs that is leading to extra testing and extra costs I would complain to IRCC. Panel physicians can have their status taken away.

Keep in mind, IRCC physicians job, first and foremost, is to protect Canadians. If there is even a remote chance of you having a communicable disease, they will take any and all precautions. You are applying for something that, as a foreign national, is a privilege.

I have taken Re Xray to my doctor because i need to make sure that i am capable in working since they are saying I have spots. 2 days after i have taken my Xray in that clinic there is no spot at all. That is why i question the panel doctor about this. All they have to say is there is nothing i.can do. But atleast i know in my self that i don't have that called TB. I have read many comments about that problem and it is the same cases about.mine. If really i have that kind of disease why should i forced myself. But thanks God your not in my position. Depressed and frustrated. Knowing that somebody could put you in that position. I spend lots of money to make sure Im okay so that i could not spread that in my friends and Family and i thank God also i dont have that so Called TB.

Glad to hear. It is not unusual for Canada to require further TB testing since Canada has a very low level of TB except in a few populations (aboriginal people living in reserves, homeless people and refugees) and Canada wants to keep the rate of TB infection low in Canada.
