I am about to apply for PR card under CEC from outside Canada. But before I leave, I want to give my medical exam. I was told that my result will be submitted directly? But I have not yet filled in my profile yet. How do they send the result directly?
I am confused

Once you get the medical done, you get a small certificate that the medical was done. This has a number on it that is specifically linked to your medical examination. When you upload it, your Express Entry profile gets linked to that medical examination.

Thanks for clarifying that. So it is allowed to do get an upfront medical for CEC?

Yes, upfront is definitely allowed. Just make sure to be very clear that you are getting your medicals done for CEC PR when you are scheduling your appointment.

I strongly suggest you do your medical after you get an ITA. since everything slowed down so much and medicals are only valid for 12 months, you might have to retake them if your application gets delayed

Yes, upfront is definitely allowed. Just make sure to be very clear that you are getting your medicals done for CEC PR when you are scheduling your appointment.

I am reasonably confident that your medicals cannot be older than a year at the time of landing, but your case seems to predate Express Entry, and I confess to not having too much familiarity with that.

The answer is no. You have to do Medical again.

The fact probably is that there is typo even at the medical center that printed the Medical report. It should have been Apr 2015 instead of Apr 2014 or 2024...whatever :.

Its just that the location of typo has shifted from 1 to 4.
