Hey everyone,

I submitted my outland common law application for PR on December 17th, and included a medical with it.

I just received an email from CIC requesting a medical from me?? Has this happened to anyone before? Should I contact CIC about this??

Thanks for your help

I would call them and send a copy of your medical anyways.

But the doctor who did the medical sent it online directly to them so I don't have a copy.

He should have also given you your copy to attach to your application, try to contact your doctor, maybe you can get a copy.

Your doctor should have given you a copy of the emedical on the front it will have your UMI # on it with a photo and your name etc. If you can response to the email, email them back and tell them what Dr you had your medical done. If not contact the Dr and ask if they sent it ,then request a copy.

the doctor doesn't send the paper receipt to CI, they electronically send the results through the emedical system. Dublin14 needs to call the doctor and request (demand) an emedical receipt, then send it to CIC as requested. CIC needs the form in order to look up the medical file. Most likely, they will not connect the results to the application without it.

Very lucky they didn't return the whole application. When they sent you this email, they would have given you so many days to resposne , do this asap and see where and if the Dr did send your medicals.

i don't think they return packages because of missing medicals. many people don't submit them upfront. generally, packages seem to be returned because of outdated forms or missing signatures. as long as the OP gets the receipt over to CIC, then there prob won't be an issue. i would not recommend counting on the dr. doing it. the OP really must get the receipt and send it per the instructions in the letter.

seriously. there's no excuse for the panel doctors NOT know what to do. i would be harrassing them AND threatening to report them to cic. if they can't do it right, then they shouldn't get paid to do it!

Actually this happened with me. I submitted the medical with my application at 1st but after sometimes they asked me for remedical and with a send me a form which I had to bring with me to the doctors. Usually asking for medicals means they have checked all the documents and very last they check the criminal records and medical. Hopefully you would get the PPR soon.

I was also shocked when I got my 2nd time medical request although my 1st one had validity.

Thanks for everyones replies! So of course i was on to CIC and the doctor. But the doctor was on vacation until the 24th >:( Everytime I called CIC they gave me a different response. The doctor said the medical was submitted 4 days after i did the medical, but according to CIC, they received nothing??? I'm going to the doctors today to get proof of medical, but i'm not really sure where to send it?? I don't really want to send it to the application address in mississauga because it's just going to be behind all the applications they received? But there is where my application is being processed.

Any ideas?
