AOR: Acknowledgement of receipt of application ----- CIC MississaugaAccra
I got my first AOR exactly one month after my application was received at the CIC Mississauga office. Then Schedule A request came one month after that. I never get AOR2. Mississigua just emailed me to inform that my file has been transferred. before my file got transferred, they had sent a medical request exactly two months after they received my application, but that request was sent through regular mail in the post, and was never received on time, which is why our medical was late. They transferred our file to VO without the medical result. Our CIC account now shows medical passed. The waiting continues.AOR: Acknowledgement of receipt of application ----- CIC Mississauga
SA: Decision Made - Sponsor and application sent to VO (Visa Office abroad) for processing ----- CIC Mississauga
AOR2: Visa Office acknowledgement of receipt of application and started processing ----- CIC VO.

@sambujang please can you share your timeline with Dates... you said you applied May 2017 and you already got Medicals, that is pretty fast. Will be expecting a reply. When CIC Mississigua emailed you to inform that your file has been transferred VO Accra, did the email say the Sponsor is eligible and approved to sponsor OR email only just stated that your file has been transferred to VO abroad.
The sponsorship approval email came first, which also included a request for both police certificate and schedule A forms. I got the sponsorship approval letter just one month after they received the application in Mississagua office. It did say thatThanks Sambujang.

Sorry for getting back to you late. I actually tried to respond yesterday but for some reason the message keeps bouncing back. To answer your question, when CIC Mississauga emailed me the first time which is the AOR1, the content was like (1) ...you have met the requirement for eligibility as a sponsor. The email went on to say that once the principal applicant submit the police certificate and Schedule A forms, her application will be forwarded to the relevant visa office. In the second email, it was like (2), which is to confirm the transfer of the file to Accra VOSambujang.

Was the email from CIC Mississauga message content like (1) or (2) below ??
(1) You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.
(2) This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to the visa office abroad for further processing.
Applied in May@sambujang please can you share your timeline with Dates... you said you applied May 2017 and you already got Medicals, that is pretty fast. Will be expecting a reply. Thanks
sambujang.....thanks for sharing your timelines.....very good.Applied in May
Acknowledgement of receipt exactly one month later in June.
Medical request was in July, but we didn't get the request letter until two months later in September
We are now waiting for PPR. The waiting continues.
The way I deal with this process is to stay calm and do not expect too much. I try to focus on something else because the more you think too much about it, the more stressful it becomes. Once your application is in process, there is nothing anyone can do to speed up the process. CIC has absolute authority to dictate the pace. Besides, cases are different, and also a matter of luck. If one gets medical request pretty fast then just count yourself as lucky. Eventually, you will get there.
Good luck.
No, I haven't got any notification/message in my CIC online linked account regarding the medical request. That is what even confuses me because I was expecting it to come through the online account. That would have been better and saved us time. There was no sort of any notification to look out for regular posted mail.sambujang.....thanks for sharing your timelines.....very good.
You received the request for medical through regular post which is okay, but did you also get any notification or message in your CIC online linked Account regarding the request for medical ??
When you check the Application Status through the CIC online linked account, in Review of medical results when you click on the HELP icon, below is the text displayed.......
Review of medical results
If you need to have a medical exam you will get a message in your account with details.
Once we receive the results of your medical exam, we will review them and tell you if you passed. If you did not pass it could be because:
...............regular mail delivery is very unreliable in Africa.......hence wanted to know if in addition to the posted mail if you were also notified online to look out for the regular posted mail.
- you may be a risk to public health or public safety, or
- your health issues could place too much demand on health or social services
I would expect AVO to notify you through online account, maybe your had not linked your account as at the time the request for medical was sent out......please confirm. No, I haven't got any notification/message in my CIC online linked account regarding the medical request.
