Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
So, I have booked my Medical, I am told I need to bring the following items with me:

Any eye glasses that I wear.
Details of any prescription drugs that I take.
Passport
5 photos
Appendix C from IMM 3901
And a what the receptionist called "Section A".

I assume that "Section A" is IMM1017 SCL - Medical Report: Section A - EDE /EFE SPOUSE OR COMMON-LAW PARTNER IN CANADA CLASS
Can anyone confirm this ?

The document is here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1017SCLE.pdf

Also, do I need to take a copy of IMM 5419 or does the doctor provide this ?

A copy can be found here http://www.numberonehealth.co.uk/dynamicdata/file/CanadianMedicalReportForms.pdf

Thanks

If you are outland, Section A is given to you by the doctor for you to include in your paperwork. I don't know what is different if you are inland. :)

Yes,there are fees and they vary greatly. It's generally cheaper in Canada, so try to get it done there. I paid 186 dollars outland (they changed extra for outland). That included the labs, xrays, etc.

Hey everyone!
Fees vary from Country to Country...my husband is applying from outland (in Barbados) his medical cost $350 bbd cash...which is about $150 Canadian dollars...not sure how much it actually costs in Canada!!!

In my case:

In Ottawa, $185 for medical + $45 for x-rays + $11.38 for blood work = $241.38

I believe my medical is going to cost $360 as that seems to be the common cost in my area of St. John's NL.

I was quoted "around £450 (C$690)" in London UK.

Much less expensive in Canada.

We got the done in Ottawa, at the University of Ottawa clinic and 2 nearby labs. My parter paid $120 for the exam, $45 for bloodwork, and $39 for the x-ray = $204 total.
