Hello,
I am a newbie to this forum, so fogive me if this question is already answered. But please redirect me to the appropriate page.

I got my medical done on 8 Feb'08. During the medical examination, doc asked me if i was ever hospitalized. I told him I was in 2005 hospitalized for a week in California. The day I was discharged from the hospital, I was on no medication nor under any treatment except a routine medical check up. Last year when I went for a check up again (this time in NY), doctor over here said, that I am healthy and there is nothing wrong with me.

I expalined this to the medical doctor for canadian immigration. The doc wrote something on the form and said he will just write that I was there for a medical checkup.

Now I am getting worried that if my case will rejected or will they ask for any other additional documents. Please advice.

Summary of caseApplied in May 07, Received AOR in June 07, IELTS given in Nov 07, IA received on 25 Jan 08 with interview waived and medical paper. FBI and police certficate also requested in addition to proof of funds and landing fees of $490.

Can you please tell me what will happen next or what's the worst that can happen?

You haven't identified the nature of your weeklong hospitalization. That's what could cause you problems.

It won't be an issue if it was a one-time event - like you broke a leg, ate some bad pork, or had elective surgery.

Thanks for your reply. I didnt mention the name of the problem in the post (due to negative impact on users), but I did explained this to the doc. It was for sure a one time event.

Hi,
Maximum they will ask you for some additional test for the problem that was the cause of your hospitalization otherwise you will receive your landing papers in mail.

Good Luck,

Hi,
well your medical is done so congratulations because you at final stage and related with your medical its my suggestion to all other member while doctor ask you about your previous hospitalization better don’t mention it because they are not able to track your history ,
you don’t have to worry if you don’t have any serious problem which require any urgent surgery or problem like TB or Hepatitis, Aids then nothing to worry ,
and also no need to worry as you mentioned about your stayed a week in hospital because it was long time ago and you got no permanent illness , If your blood test are normal which normally doctor told you the same time then no need to worry soon you will receive your landing papers along with visa stamp , good luck

What kind of idiot suggests applicants should lie in their applications? Is this how you lived your life in Poland before you came to Canada?

I really appreciate all your support and suggestions. Before this thing gets out of control, I should better tell why I was in the hospital. Ofcourse I wasn't there for diheria or food poisoning issue. I was diagnosed with MS in 2005 and that's why I had to spend a week in hospital. Later to found out that I was wrongly diagnosed. LOL LOL. Isn't that funny, even doctors can make mistake. Anyways, all my post checkups are perfectly normal (Thanks GOD) and I am on no medication or under therapy what so ever, I am spendind a normal life.

I don't know if should have told this to the doc who was examing me, but I did. So my dear friends, even if I was sick at some stage and I think all normal people get sick, I am proud of myself that I recovered :)

Hope my extra explanation doesn't cause any problems in my immi process, but if it will, then I will be careful in the future.

You'll be fine. Please don't worry about it.

Everyone's required to tell the physician about any overnight admissions to the hospital. Even a stomach flu - if it required overnight admission - needs to be disclosed.

I'm glad that your tests came out negative. Good luck on getting to Canada!

Thanks for the wishes. No I still haven't received it. In additon to my medical, I am required to send additional documents (FBI record, proof of funds, and W2 forms from current and previos employers). I am waiting for FBI record, as soon as I will get it I will send it along other papers requested.
According to my doctor who did my test, he mailed the results to CHC Buffalo on 18th Feb.
