Hello everyone,

I applied for FSW 2014 old immigration system. I had my medicals done on 16th December. But unfortunately, they found some patches in my chest x-ray and asked me to undergo further medical examinations (sputum smear and culture tests).

Are there any other members here who had same kind of issue?

When can I expect to receive PPR after my sputum and culture tests have been submitted to visa officer? I have applied from India and my visa office is New Delhi, India.

Please members guide me on this.

Thanks and Regards,

I thnk you have got re-medical ?
It will be based on doubt about T.B, you will be supposed to perform all the tests in the following manner by your chest specialist:

1. Normal X-Ray .
2. Chest C.T Scan

Most of the doubts get cleared in Chest CT scan, wether there is any sort of TB symptoms or not, If he finds anything suspected only then he sends you for Sputum Smear Test.

3. Sputum Test.
The Results of this test comes in approx 2 months.
It takes two months for the sputum culture results to be ready, immediately after the two months of taking the culture, you take another xray, the xray results are of course immediate.
It is the combination of these xrays and the culture results that get sent to be analysed and this takes the usual course of time just like any medical, i.e sometimes as little as 3-4 weeks and so the total delay for someone to get cleared is actually just three months.

Did you get the re-medical request from the VO or medical center...and after how many days of the medical test?

Yeah I have got further medical request and I've undergone sputum and culture test. They didn't ask for CT scan or anything like that. But I'm concerned about my file after my medical results have been received. Will I get PPR soon after my medicals are cleared?

OR

will I have to wait for undetermined amount of time?

Thanks KRP

But after three months will I get PPR quickly or will they delay even further if I'm medically fit?
