Medical process for Non-SDS applicants

Hello All,

Can someone explain how a medical is done for Non-SDS applicants. For SDS I know that there is an upfront medical exam.

For Non-SDS do we wait for IRCC to give us a date for the exam?

Okay thank you. So I can go for an upfront medical eventhough I've already applied for my Visa? And then update the medical records to my existing file?
