Hi,
I am sponsoring my parents and since the time I applied, my father was diagnosed with oral cancer. He underwent surgery and is perfectly fine. Canadian consulate have started processing their file now and have requested additional information on the cancer treatment..origin, treatment and prognosis. I would like to know what they will be looking at, what guidelines do they function under and how will they be looking at this. Does anyone have knowledge of similar circumstances?

Thanks a lot!

They are determining if the followup treatment or further treatment in Canada would cost on average over $5400 per year (approx) . If it does, then there is a good chance that the application would be refused on the basis of "excessive demand" on medical services.

Thanks PMM. He is doing 6 months follow up which Im sure will cost nothing. Further treatment is required only if there is a recurrance. How do they do the prognosis?
