I got an upfront medical done last year, since then my passport expired and I got a new passport. My study visa is on my new passport.
My study permit also didnt need a medical at that time, but since I have been in Pakistan for 14 months so I need medical to enter Canada.
My medical is valid as far as time is concerned. I tried to get an updated medical from hospital but they said since my previous medical is valid they cant give me a new one

What was the medicals done last year for since you didn't need it for your SP application? What is the expiry date of the medicals?

Since I had been in Pakistan for 6 months at that point, and I was hoping to travel then, I got an upfront medical done. It expires on 02 Sep 2021. I am travelling on 12 August 2021

I think if you travel before then, you should be fine. If you are planning to travel after tha, you will need to do another upfront medical..

Yes, I definitely need to re do if I travel after. I was just wondering if they will ask about the difference of passport number. I guess I should carry both passports just in case

Yes, absolutely carry both passports. Did you submit the e-medical sheet to IRCC? If yes, they probably already linked your UMI number to your
UCI number, therefore change of passport numbers would not really matter.

Yup I did ! though they didnt update it on my gckey (which I have heard they dont if ur initial visa didnt require it). But I sent them webform recently and they confirmed that my medical was at the visa office.

Hi All,

I am in a weird situation. I got upfront medical done for my wife last week for visitor visa and today I realised that her passport is expiring in 1.5 years. I understand that visitor visa is valid for 10 years or upto the expiry of the passport. To maximise the duration, I plan to apply for new passport for her. Can i apply for visa with the new passport but still upload old emedical report which has her previous passport? I know I can explain but still if someone has gone through this situation?
