Medical not to be done until they send me instructions?

Hey everyone. My husband is spnosoring me, and we're doing the "from outside" application through London. His sponsorship ips approved already which is great!
BUT
I've noticed that you all have sent in your medicals with your application in the first place. But I read on Appendix C that I'm to wait until I am notified by London before I can do it and that they will send me out the instructions.

Does anyone know if the procedure has changed or something? Seems like I'm the only one that hasn't sent in a medical? Anybody else in the same position?

canadawannabe, what was the date on your application forms? I think this is the new fast track system, like what they are using in Damascus.
You are right in that most ppl previously have sent their applications with their finger prints and medicals, as that is what is required in their region as noted in Part II. What country are you actually applying from? [London covers many other countries as well.]

Your application is technically consider an 'outland' application....

Hmmmm.....part of the checklist still says to include them though, did you read Form 3901, #11 (the form that includes Appendix C)? The latest one still states:-

11 PROOF OF MEDICAL EXAMINATION
Include for yourself and each of your family members Copy 2 of the Medical Report-Section A that
the DMP will sign and give to you when you undergo the medical examination. See Appendix C for
additional information.

Have you not gone for your medical at all yet then?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi canadian_wannabe,

I'm doing an outland sponsorship application to sponsor my husband. When I sent in the application to CPC Mississauga I sent in a copy of my husband's medicals and they sent my application back to me saying that we can not approve the application and we will not approve you as a sponsor until we have the original medicals. I had to send in my husband's original medicals with the application, otherwise it wasn't going to get the first stage approval.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I'm applying from Ireland. My application went in 2nd week in July to Miss. It was approved on August 6th and has been sent to London. That's where it is now. But i'm just wondering how come it says for me to wait for instructions on a medical, while it seems everyone else in this forum has done their medical first and sent it with their application!!!

On my Appendix C it reads...Do not initiate any medical tests until you receive the medical form and instructions.
We will mail you instructions for the medical exam after assessing your application and making a positive
selection decision.

I'm sorry to say that you've used the wrong form. That form is for sponsoring parents, grandparents and adopted children. You needed to be using form 3901 which is Family Class, sponsoring a spouse. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3901e.pdf

Good Call Leslie - I was looking at all the forms and was thinking....what...???? I know that skilled workers, in fast track have to wait - but I had not heard of any spouses doing that.

I think the OP should make sure that the sponsorship was approved for the right application (1) and that the correct application was completed (2). It's a bit a of a muck. I'd do the proper physical with the proper form, and if the correct application was in fact completed and sent, send that medical form #IMM 1017 to the CIC-M immediately.

Otherwise, if the application is in total disarray (wrong forms used etc...) then your husband has been approved for the wrong sponsorship and - then you will have to notify them that the incorrect forms were done, do the right ones, and do all the steps that are actually required. [include a copy of the receipt showing that you have already paid]. But be in constant contact with CIC-M to rectify the situation with their suggestions... so as to minimize any additional processing time.

As another poster pointed out, the forms usually don't get past the first point, if the application is not complete:(.

canw - you dont need a rep, you just need to read the guides and forms well before submitting :). This is the most stressful process I think any of us go through. Many, many people [myself included] have passed through by doing it on our own. Even we did not have an interview. It's crucial to double, triple and quadruple check everything - that is all.

And that is what this forum is for, to answer any questions you might have. Good luck, but first see what you submitted to them, and go from there.....
