do not worry about this status. They are doing your background checks. usually a file is not rejected at this stage unless there are some serious issues with your checks. So do not worry, your visa may be soon on its way.

hi, members i submitted my passport to new delhi visa office on 13th jan, due to very urgent official work i have to go Australia for that i need my passport i sent e mail to NDVO on 3rd feb, but today i got email from them that your file is waiting for final review by visa officer,
so can anyone explain this situation in how many days i got my passport back.

The very fact that u have been apprised by VO that ur file is awaiting final review,it implies that u are through all the parameters of BG ( perhaps Security check, as well ) and ur file has found a place in the pack of those lying on the table of designated VO. The moment it reaches top the pack ,he /she will give the final decision.

God willing, u will get to know something which may bring an end to ur a long wait. Let us pray, it comes sooner than expected.

Got Visa Without DM LINE CHANGE In Status

After a long wait of four years and re medicals on 9th Dec 2013 got our passports but strange enough ecas still shows in process. Surprisingly they have given validity till 23rd march 2014 so just a month to go but more the problem is that my surname has been misspelled by them and its mentioned Sud instead of sood which is a clerical mistake because all my documents medicals and passport say otherwise. Sent a mail dont know when they will reply Any suggestion from any one what to do shall i go ahead and book my tickets , will they rectify this mistake at toronto airport on my landing papers very confused ...Thanks

After a long struggle now we are very close to the main goal of our life incl. our families. We are about to wind-up from our native places. But after reading your views we are double minded now.
