Medical just after AOR

We have applied for PR in Feb 2013 and expecting AOR by first week of Mar.

Can we get the medical done after that(i.e. in Mar itself) without even CIC asking us to do the medical? Can CIC upload the medical report to there system based on the AOR number?

Has anyone done something like this before and can share there experience?

If you have a willing DMP, you can do the Medicals with the AOR number. However medicals expire in 12 months, so doing it so early in your application introduces a risk that they might expire before you land. That would require you to redo your medicals and ultimately delay your application.

I had the same question. I applied for CEC on April 3rd and I hope my AOR will receive on middle of May. My question is, can I apply for the e medical as soon as I get the file number? one of my friend he said he applied for medical as soon as he get the file number. and he got his PR within 5 month. And I have my wife and daughter back in Sri lanka. so is there any e medical available overseas countries? can anybody send me a list where there is E medical available. in Canada and Sri lanka plz.

Just Found. Yes, you can do your medicals before CIC requests it. All DMPs have the same forms that CIC will send. Make sure you tell the DMP it is for your permanent residence application. Your results can be reported using your client ID or/and using your file number.

Note that, they can extend your medicals for an additional year if you have no medical problems. I don't know the exact criteria for it.
