Hello,

I want to ask you if someone wants to visit Canada, could he or she has a medical insurance from his or her country? or the medical insurance should be Canadian in order for the CIC to accept it ?

Thanks,

Thanks,
1. The only time CIC requires medical insurance for visitors is for parents/grandparents on super visas. That insurance must be purchased in Canada.
2. So other than the above you can buy medical insurance from anywhere.

Thank you PMM very much. You response is appreciated.

Another question please, me and my wife will support her mother finiancially thorugh her visit. Do we have to send her mother a prrof of income for both of us? If yes, how much should we make yearly in order for the CIC to accept her application ?

Thanks,

1. If you are applying for a Super Visa program, you will need to purchase Medical Emergency Insurance from a private Canadian insurance company.

Although regular TRV does not require you to have such insurance at all, it is recommended to be covered in order to prevent unexpected financial loss in case of a medical emergency while in Canada or on a side-trip somewhere elese in the world.

With a Canadian insurance company it is much easier to file a claim as well as get a refund in case you need to go back to your country of origin before the policy expires.

You may take a look and compare the rates from several Canadian insurance companies by following the link below/.

2. You may choose to send the proof of funds for each one of you in order to increase the chances of getting Entry Visa.

Hope it helps!

Pre-Assessed..
This depends on a variety of factors.

For a super visa or work permit it has to be a Canadian Insurance Company.

For visitors visa their is no requirement so it really depends on the country of origin what is more favorable. If the county is like Great Britain you can buy a policy for 10 million pounds for almost the same price as Canadian insurance for $200,000 (this is the max all the Canadian Insurance Companies I deal with will insure for). If it is a country that does not offer insurance than the only option is to buy from a Canadian Insurance Company.
