Hi All,

Requesting ur help on my scenario.

I am the primary applicant and have vision impairment (Lost vision in one eye due to congenital visual Problem) and have full vision in another eye (No impairments and congenital prob).

All these years i do not spend any money with respect to my condition as i feel normal with no medical need.

Will i fall in EDE?

Thank you all. And wish your answers will be useful like many of me..

Regards
Canvar
What you've described does not sound like something that would create a finding of excessive demand.

Hey guys, excellent thread.

Just to confirm if anyone knows - principal applicant's hearing impairment is not considered a medical inadmissibility?
A situation where using a hearing aid on one ear, and having a Cochlear Implant on the other one?

You should also begin preparing for notification that you may be inadmissible under A38 ("excessive demand") as the care of your child will have costs associated with his medical condition. In the end, the visa office will be primarily concerned with the costs involved, but the costs for any special needs child dramatically exceed the excessive demand threshold from what I have seen in the past.

If you have the financial ability to engage the services of an attorney, there are a few that specialize in cases like yours and I can PM that information to you. Fighting CIC on medical inadmissibility is expensive and can cost $5000 or more with the services of an attorney.

Last I saw, the published amount was $6385/yr. But it is revised periodically.

In my experience, the fairness letter takes 6-9 months after any medical furtherance is done.

Dear Member,

During the Medicals my 11 month old son found (only observation of doctor...no blood test carried out) to have anemia , however doctor told that it will be sorted out with right diet. Kindly suggest if it will affect immigration decision. If anemia attracts excessive demand in canada....Pls give your opinion.

Thanks and Regards

I'm getting so concerned right now. I have applied for Study Permit and my wife would be accompaining me. I got PASSED on the medical exam, but mu wife who is hearing impaired got no update. She is oralized since childhood and excellent comunication skills. Will she be a burden to Canada?

Hi Computergeek,

I just got the letter from CIC yesterday that I may get refused due to the medical inadmissibility since I have AS and I am using Humira at the moment. You mentioned the attorneys who are specialized on this matter. Is it possible that you can PM me the names that you know?

Thank you so much

Hello guys,
I have applied for express entry yesterday & recieved the AOR. My wife is the principal applicant. In my upfront medical i got to know that i am infected with syphilis and TPHA shows positive. But we still submitted the application. I know its a contagious disease and canada govt will never approve the application. But i read on cic site that if its treated then they may issue a visa. So I am getting treatment and I will be getting my last injection tomorrow. And I will send treatment proof to cic. Not sure what will happen to our application. I am too worried. Is there anyone who has been through such situation or know someone who had this problem. Please let me know. Thank you..
