Your case is complicated yet it is possible to tackle future challenges. As far as I know you can do nothing at this point of time when your application is being processed. Allow time, if you are issued fairness letter then contact a lawyer who deals with medical inadmissibility cases. You might be not issued fairness letter.
To my best knowledge Bellissimo group and Baptista are lawyers of choice, however, I can't be sure.

My parents did medical exams for parents sponsorship 2nd time already. First time they did it in April 2017 in Ukraine - my mom has a condition with no burden, so she passed & my father - no medical conditions. This September they did exams again on request from CIC and this time in Toronto as they happened to be here. My mom seems everything same, but my father - they found COPD on his chest x-ray. He has no symptoms whatsoever, he is a lifetime no smoker and is never short of breath even with intense physical activity (he is very active for his 65 years). He also did a chest x-ray in Ukraine few months ago as a job requirement and it came back normal. Panel Physician asked for sputum test - but my father does not cough, so have no clue how to get them sputum out of him.
We are all puzzled about this results as how someone can be diagnosed with a chronic condition is he was completely healthy just few moths ago. I am very concerned that it may cause him to be inadmissible.
I am thinking of getting him seen by a walk in doctor and possibly do spirometry test, which is the most effective way of diagnosing COPD.
Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.

COPD can come on quickly sometimes. You need more than spirometry which is a little tube with a ball you may need to do some pulmonary function tests (PFTs). Don't want to scare you but unfortunately COPD is one of the most expensive chronic conditions to treat. Hopefully it is another lung issue but think you should get PFTs to be able to confirm the COPD.

Just to update on my case (aor July 18) - I ordered gcms notes and noticed that cmau(centralized medical admissibility unit) has flagged our case as M5 (too much cost).
As per the program delivery update (published on June 1) for the new thresholds, I see that after cmau processing the file will be moved to "delegated officers" to apply the new thresholds and health/social services criteria to see if we overcome inadmissibility based on the new changes.
I almost lost hope after seeing M5 in my gcms notes. Nevertheless, hanging on to a thin thread and hoping against hope for some respite from the new rules.

Hi.. I'm not sure what the medical condition is so I can't comment on that. But as per new rules over a period of 5 years the quota is approx 99K, which makes it almost neglible for people to get refusals based on medical grounds. My mom's medical was under review for 4 months and a few days and then she passed her medical just few days ago. Her treatment for cancer is still going on and she has a treatment plan for next few years. We calculated the cost and for the first and second year it was exceeding way beyond the 20k limit(one year limit). But over a period of 5 years it was less than 99k. Keep faith everything will happen for the best. Sending you good wishes and prayers <3
Sounds like your mother is in remission and is likely just on tamoxifen for 5 years so that is not really considered cancer treatment, Had she been in active treatment she would have been refused. She is still very lucky to have been approved without a few years of remission time because there is a higher likelihood of it cancer coming back in the first few years so it is still a risk to the medical system. The cost of tamoxifen is minimal, her scans will be the largest yearly costs for your mother. There are less illnesses and disabilities that are refused but there are still quite a lot.
Don't want to scare you but they should have started using the new thresholds immediately in June so you would think you would have been assessed by the new threshold. Given your child's unique situation there could be more research being one because I would have though you would have heard by now.
