My husband applied for PR under the FSW PNP class, and when we did our medicals our son was found to be medically inadmissible. CIC requested additional information to determine if we could mitigate those costs and to lower the possibility of an excessive demand on the medical system in Canada. Both my husband and I have presented information relating to our health insurance and additional insurance for our son. CIC seemed pleased with this information and again requested information on our son's intent in Canada, of which he will be a student. We provided that information almost 6 months now, but to date we have not received a reply. Has anyone been in a similar position, did you eventually receive a favourable response and how long did it take to become a PR holder? Thank you

I have exact similar situation. I submitted my responses to CIC on Oct 16, 2013. No answer till today. I ordered my file notes, and found that my case officer sent request to health section to review my submission on Jan 01, 2014.
Long waiting

Hi Salem10

Thank you for sharing your timeline with me. Could you please update me when you have received a response from them? I am so anxious as we are just in limbo trying to figure out the next steps. I do hope it will all work out in your favour and that you will be landed very soon :)

I am still waiting for their response. I received my fairness letter on August 20, 2013 and I sent them response on Oct 16, 2013. Then no response up to day. Hope the best after this all of 4 years of waiting.

Any news with your application? I'm crossing fingers for you. :)

No response. Iam very sad about this long waiting and unfairness in time processing taken to review my submission.

Hope their answer will be positive. :D

I finally received a response from them, asking for us to make the payment for our right of permanent residence so it seems we are just about cleared. Hope you hear something from them very soon too :)

Congratulation, when you have sent your response to the fairness letter? Please share, I am waiting for 8 months now after my submission.

We sent in the first response in October, then they requested additional information which we provided by December 2013. So it took around 5 months for us to again hear from them. Did you already pay for your right of permanent residence?

Congratulations mzpaul for the positive response. You are almost there. I am also in same situation you are in. We submitted our fairness letter to CIC last march 15,2013 and still waiting for the decision. My ecas says medical results have been received as of now. Hopefully soon :) I also tried to contact our local MP here last Thursday and seek their assistance of our application and they replied to me by email to filled and signed up the authorization form to check my status in my behalf. Hope we get a favorable response next week. Hoping for the best :)

Hi Guys,
I'm just new to this forum, but I have the same case as all of you guys. Do you seek help for immigration lawyer to response for medical inadmissability case?

Yes, we were already using an immigration lawyer so he was able to assist with responding to the fairness letter. Essentially, you need to show that the cost for your medical condition will not place an excessive demand on the Canadian resources.

Thank you mzpaul. And Congratulations to you, your almost there. I also have an Immigration Lawyer who worked in my case. I was advised that they responded on the Fairness Letter last May 30th. She told me that it will take 2-3 months before CIC will response back on their decision. I saw some of you guys took over 5 months to have their response. Still long way to wait eh...
Also, have you guys heard refusal from CIC despite the reply we have sent to them? Thanks guys

How are you guyz! Were you able to have visas now granted from CIC?

Though I am still in the medical examination stage, I am looking at any possibilities as my husband has a heart problem. Still praying for miracles!
