Dear everyone,

The PA completed her medical early in October however the result has not been updated on either ECAS or GCKey. We've sent an email to the VO and received a reply below:

"Please be advised that according to our electronic record, a medical furtherance request was sent to you on 29 Oct 2019 by our medical office in Manila.

You should have received it by now."

It has been well over a month as per the date above but we have not receive anything in the post nor electronically, anyone came across this previously please?

Many thanks, cheers.!

Hi floppydisk,

I received an email requesting a medical furtherance as well. I had to make an appointment with a panel physician, who then referred me to a specialist to complete the request. IRCC will not tell you directly what the request entails: the letter is made available on the emedical site that only panel physicians have access to (at least, this is what I have gathered).

I hope this helps.

Hi @knmacneil ,

Thank you.! Indeed, what you've mentioned below is accurate and I have then submitted another web form inquiry on not receiving this letter timely and ask if they can be sent electronically. Surprisingly, instead of waiting for 30 days which they typically will take to response it took only a few days and they did sent me the medical furtherance letter in PDF. The letter simply has no information but ask you to contact the panel physician whom we initially visited where they'll have the details of the tests required.

Prior to getting a response from the HK VO we actually called the panel physician and explained the situation, that we did not receive an email nor any physical mailing about this furtherance and were told that is not needed. The person whom answered the call simply asked for my PA's IME and able to retrieve the detail of the tests required whilst we committed on a schedule on the same call. Absolutely helpful person and instant relief.!

Hopefully this post can be a further reference for the group, however in my case the medical furtherance were not communicated nor appearing on either GCKey / ECAS until after 2 months after our initial medical examination. The wait for not reflecting any changes on the medical section of the process triggered my inquiry to the VO via web form and until then we were told about the furtherance.

We've received bulletin 1 last week, hopefully after this furtherance and upon passing the medical we'll receive bulletin 2 / pre-arrival service invitation etc. prior to Chinese New Year (it'll be a few days off for the HK VO).

Good luck everyone, cheers.!
