Medical expired after PPR

Hi,
I got sowp PPR on 22nd feb 2022.
My medical was done on March 24th 2021 and will expire on March 24th 2022. I am planning to travel in first week of April to Canada.

Should I get my medical done quickly before stamping ?
Or after stamping or
It's not needed anymore?
Please reply as I already started ppr stamping procedure and they might come in 10 to 15days for passport.

Hi, what did you do in your situation, did they extend your medical or requested for new medical?

If you are outland, you'd better do your medicals again.

As long as you can land or do a soft landing relatively quickly you don’t need to submit an other medical.

I saw cases that passport was not stamped and returned when medicals were expired. They did medicals again and received a new PPR and only then they were stamped.

That is incredibly rare especially with young people with no previous medical concerns. Also unclear if medical is expired yet or about to expire. VO has the option to extend validity of medical if close to approving PR. The only issue is typically you have a short window to land.
