Hello fellow "Future Canadians",

I have applied for my permanent residency on September 2014, under the Canadian Experience Class. I have just received notification that I require to complete the medical exams (February 27th, 2016).

From your past experience, how long does it take on average to get the completed medical results processed by Canada Immigration and issuance of your Permanent Resident card?

Thank you!

For me it was 11 months 1 day between medicals received and decision made/COPR issued (and I was not under 2nd review). I expect to get PR card within 13-14 months from medicals.
Others waited literally a couple days to get DM.

Hi astiuca1,

We cannot predict the timelines and it all goes by case to case basis. Currently CIC is working on different stages in parallel for instance Criminality and Medical. We get Medical and still there is check with employers which ideally should have been complete before Medical is requested. Also, if there is no second review and no additional document were requested, if your file is close to processing time line say 17 or 21 months you should get it anytime from 1.5 to 4 months period.

Share your timelines.

Stay positive, getting Medicals is a good sign as your file is being added to another stage of PR processing :). Looking at the forum, we can see lot of people are getting MR, RPRF, PPR which is positive.
