Medical examination

Hi,

I am in India and waiting for my visa. During medical examination, do the officials test me for alcohol and drugs? I don’t prefer alcohol anyways. I am asking this because I saw a guy who was looking for a hotel management job and parties everyday. He still did not get his visa. Is that the reason why his immigration agents did not process his visa?

Another rule I heard about is, being in good health. What about applicants who have a lifestyle of drinking everyday? Are they permitted to get a visa?

Following test takes place in medical.

• Physical examination like eye, nose, heart, lungs, and other organ check-ups.
• Chest X-rays
• Blood tests for HIV and Syphilis
• Urine test

Fine, it’s doesn’t make sense apart from checking for infections. They should also include alcohol, drug and cholesterol tests Anyways no need to go to gym anymore spending a lot of money on cardio fitness which I did because no cholesterol test is there. Txs
