First, if you have a disease that would disproportionately overburden the Canadian Health system, you will get rejected. In some cases once you get this rejection you can hire a lawyer and see if you can fight that rejection in court. This happens in case of diabetes. Sometimes the CIC rejects even when diabetes is under control. In this case hiring a lawyer works. However if you have complications in addition to diabetes e.g. high blood pressure, heart disease kidney failure etc, then it may not be of much help.

Second, in some rare cases, you might have some communicable disease that is not curable. This is also grounds for rejection.

I think it is difficult to answer your question unless you reveal some details about your individual case. It would make it easier for people to guide you rather than speaking hypothetically.

Your eye is definitely not a problem for Canada, because it is neither a communicable disease nor a burden on the Canadian health system.

Your blood pressure is another issue and something I am not sure. I am almost certain you will have a follow up test i.e. a second test after the first medical exam e.g. to test your kidneys (creatinine serum blood test)

Can you search this forum for "Medical Rejection" or Medical High Blood Pressure. You will find a lot of information.

simply hypertension wont get you rejection. But if it is along with complications it csn be. Sometimes they do the tests to find out complications on the first medical itself or later. It depends.
