Hi,

I am applying for my daughters sponsorship. Can I submit the same Medical receipt(photocopy) which I submitted during her visit visa with the sponsorship application kit or do I have to get a medical examination get it done again and submit the new report.

Thanks,
Raj.

You can use it if its expiry date (12 months) long enough for PR processing time. Otherwise I suggest you to do a new medical exam. It's my lesson because I used the one which only two months left when I submitted for PR. Now I am requested to do another medical exam which will delay at least two or three weeks to get PR.

Good luck

I was kind of in the same situation. But the doctor said they are not supposed to take re-medicals if the first one was done within 3 months. So we applied with the original one. However as the overall process takes close to a year, the medical results validity expired eventually and we had to do re-meds later.

Thanks for your kind advice.

I have done the medicals in June. 5 months have already been elapsed. As advice i will get the medicals examination done again.

No worries.
I don't know how many months it will take at your Visa Office for PR processing time. If it is longer than 7 months, you'd better get a new medical exam but if it is longer than 12 months, you can just use the one you have got.

Good luck

Good idea, there's no point paying twice if the process time is over 12 months. We took a chance on ours hoping HK VO would begin processing our application within the Hong Kong timeframe but we are past that now and still in application received, medical now expired. Hopefully they will look at our application soon and not request a re-med, but at this point it looks like we will have to do it again.
