I had done an upfront medical exam after receiving ITA and prior to submission of my application for PR. In my profile it showed as passed as well. After six months of completing application I have received a mail from CIC asking me to take another medical test (form IMM 1017E). Does that mean that my previous test does not hold or is it a normal processing formality. Please suggest if you know

When did you take your medical test?

Previous medical test was taken on 1st Feb 2017. Prior to application for PR

1st February 2017 is 9 days ago

I am guessing it's Feb 2016. They have asked another one because the first one expired on Feb 1, 2017. The medicals need to be valid till the entire processing is complete and ppr is issued. Otherwise they would issue another medical request before asking for your passport.

This is the reason it is suggested to keep eAPR and medicals as close as possible.
