i had the same surgery done. my doctor didnt ask so i didnt mention it. we have our PR.

Having diabetes is not a big problem. Only it is a bit of concern if u r having Type 1. For Type 2 if it is well controlled it is not a problem. You have to declare it to your DMP and show the medication u r taking. If they do a Glycosylated Haemoglobin-HbA1C-HE on ur blood sample they can easily trace it. Better be honest always in life with a doctor and a lawyer. Only thing is they will mark M1 or M2 on ur medicals.
All those with diabetes and gone thru medicals can put their opinion on the same.
